About Us

Adriel was founded 125 years ago as the Mennonite Children's Home. We now serve children in foster care all over Ohio. Adriel's mission continues to be ''providing quality care for children in the spirit of Christian love.'' Adriel welcomes diversity and does our best to have a variety of available foster families in as many school districts as possible, so that children in foster care do not have to lose their friends and school connections just because they are in foster care. Visit our website www.adriel.org to find out how you can become a foster parent today!

Adriel offers counseling to foster children in our network at no cost (and typically no waitlist). Adriel Foster Families enjoy 24/7 on-call support, paid respite days, and in-home consultation from Adriel staff on a regular basis based on the needs of the family and the foster children in the home. We train our Adriel Foster Parents using the Teaching Family Model which is an evidence-based model of parenting so they are prepared as foster parents. Adriel also provides additional support, resources, encouragement, education and guidance on a regular basis to our Adriel Families. Adriel has a special Onboarding Program to provide newly licensed Adriel Foster Families with extra special support during their first year as Adriel Foster Parents. We also offer ongoing training at no cost to Adriel Foster Parents.
