Director of Operations
Callard Promotional Marketing in Westerville, Ohio, is an entrepreneurial Women’s Business Enterprise and has grown into one of the Top 200 promotional marketing companies in the United States. The Company is hiring a Director of Operations to be a key member of the Callard team and who is a hands-on leader and problem-solver.
As Director of Operations, you will be a strategic thought partner to the CEO and lead the Company’s customer service, warehouse/fulfillment, accounting, and online store and supervise high-level managers. You will excel in this position if you are well-organized, detail-oriented, a people leader with proven experience in designing and implementing sound business processes, creating and monitoring key business metrics, and taking ownership of a wide range of day-to-day responsibilities in an entrepreneurial organization.
Process Analysis - Assess and document end-to-end processes and drive efficiency and effectiveness. Also, define process steps and develop training content and quick reference guides.
Financial Operations - Actively manage business operations to achieve cost control and profit goals. Provide reporting and insights to inform forecast, cash management and profit targets. Actively participate in annual, monthly and quarterly business and financial reviews with the Company’s part-time CFO.
Sales Support - Drive RFP process. Provide weekly sales reports and leads client events. Participate in developing key account quarterly business reviews.
Warehouse Management - Establish and maintain fulfillment schedule and manage workflow and conduct audits to ensure quality standards are achieved.
Supplier Management - Develop and nurture strong supplier relationships and monitor overall supplier performance. Negotiate and maintain pricing and product offerings. Manage contracts and rebates.
Customer Service - Develop customer listening strategy and analyze customer feedback and implement modifications to achieve and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
People Talents - Work with outside HR consultants to oversee payroll, benefits, and health and safety. create job descriptions, hire competent personnel and complete onboarding/offboarding process and develop and implement staff evaluations and performance management process. Oversee employee training programs and associate engagement efforts. Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Honest, ethical, and moral behavior regarding Company operations/interactions and customer confidentiality.
• Strong financial acumen.
CREDENTIALS AND EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management or related field. Certification in six sigma methodologies, change management and/or project management preferred. Industry experience a plus with 7+ years of progressive operations management experience or relevant work experience and 5+ years people leadership experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position works within a professional office environment. Must be able to sit for an extended period of the time as 75% of the day will be stationary. Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or suppliers and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. Fingering: Picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in using a calculator or computer.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The base salary for the position is $75-90,000 per year. Callard offers medical, dental, life and short-term disability insurance, and participation in the company’s 401-k plan. You will enjoy seven paid holidays and paid time off as well as company discounts!
