Participating candidates include:
DIANE CONLEY: Diana (Diane) Conley has worked and volunteered in Westerville for 25 years. Diane and her husband, John, have a son, John, and two very spoiled dachshunds, Brutus and Buckeye.
As a lifelong educator, Diane taught elementary school grades in Reynoldsburg before coming to Westerville in 1994 as an administrator. She was the assistant principal at Huber Ridge Elementary before moving to McVay Elementary as principal. She was promoted to the district administrative team with responsibilities of overseeing teaching and learning district wide. Diane retired from Westerville City Schools as the Chief of Academics. She then moved to higher education as an adjunct professor in the Department of Education at Ohio Dominican University.
Diane has a 25-year history of involvement in the Westerville community. Activities include the Westerville Education Foundation Board, Leadership Westerville Board and co-instructor of Leadership Today. Diane attended the Westerville Fire Academy and was a member of CART. More recently Diane has been involved with the Westerville Sunrise Rotary (President 2015-16) and the Sunrise Rotary Foundation (President 2018-19) as well as serving as Rotary District 6690 Membership Chair (2017-19). Diane joined the Westerville Parks Foundation Board in 2014 and is serving her second year as Chair. Diane also is on the Westerville for Honor Flight Committee and has been a guardian for veterans during three flights to Washington, DC.
Diane’s love for the Westerville community began soon after being hired by the school board. The positive community spirit, the proud heritage, the can-do attitude of the citizens, as well as Uptown and the numerous parks impressed her immediately and became a part of who she is and wants to be.
Diane’s pride in being a Westerville citizen, love for the community, and a desire to guide our city into the future are just a few reasons she decided to run for Westerville City Council.

Mayor Treneff is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University and Capital University Law School. He maintains a private law practice in Westerville and is ranked by Ohio Super Lawyers as one of the Top Ten Lawyers in the State of Ohio and one of the Top Five Lawyers in Columbus. In 2019, our Mayor was named “Lawyer of the Year” for Columbus in his specialty by Best Lawyers in America.
Mayor Treneff was appointed by the Franklin County Board of Commissioners to the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) Board and currently serves as Vice Chair. In this role, Treneff actively discusses and plans the future of mobility for Central Ohio and brings these lessons back to our community.
He has served as President of the Board of Trustees of Directions for Youth and Families, an agency which focuses on helping at-risk children, and is a member of the Ohio Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Children and Families.
Mayor Treneff is running for re-election to Westerville City Council to continue his life’s work: serving the people of Westerville with enthusiasm. From improving our mobility and expanding our parks, to developing Westerville’s job market and green energy technology, Mayor Treneff is ready to keep moving Westerville forward!
AILEEN WAGNER: Aileen Wagner launched her first public service efforts at the age of 11 when she organized a successful petition drive that prevented proposed traffic changes that would have endangered the safety of her friends and neighbors. Her commitment to improving her community has only grown in the thirty years since then.
As a small-business owner and educator, Aileen works to develop quality educational materials for students. She has taught in schools around central Ohio and earned a teaching license in 7–12 grade social studies from Ohio Dominican University. Prior to starting her publishing services company, Walnut Bend Creative, Aileen worked as an editor at McGraw-Hill, the job that brought her to Westerville in 2005.

KEN WRIGHT: Ken Wright is a loving husband and doting father, a servant leader, and a proud citizen of Westerville. Ken, his wife Kellye, and their three children, Christopher, Nyla and Kendall, moved to Westerville in 2005 from his native Washington, DC; and they have lived in the community ever since. With a strong
public service background and a desire to build a more united community, Ken Wright is running for Westerville City Council.
Though the Wrights moved to Westerville in 2005, they didn’t truly feel at home here until 2015 when Ken’s daughter participated in the Leadership Today program through Westerville North High School. After every session, she’d come home and tell Ken and his wife about her incredible opportunities and experiences right here in Westerville. Seeing his daughter’s enthusiasm and a sense of pride in her community, Ken decided to enroll in the Leadership Westerville program the following year.
It was at this point that Ken realized just how special Westerville can be. Ken saw first-hand the appreciation and genuine love that the citizens of Westerville have for their city. It was infectious.
