Otterbein Summer Theatre presents a concert presentation of "The Merry Widow," our second reading in the Rare Sightings Reading Series. This event is FREE and not ticketed. All seating is general admission. A free-will offering will be collected to benefit the Andy Baker Scholarship Fund. Sonya Glawari is beautiful and rich... and she’s captivated every man in the country. But Sonya is looking for true love. Will she be able to find a suitor that is not only after her wealth? Will the nation of Pontevedro slip into economic collapse if she marries a foreigner? Franz Lehar’s magical score features the famous “Vilja” song, the “Merry Widow Waltz,” and many more beloved melodies. Featuring Otterbein Faculty Lori Kay Harvey and Robert Bux. This hilarious clash of wills, exes, and cultures will take place on Saturday, June 22nd at 8pm in the Fritsche Theatre at Cowan Hall.
