Please join Westerville Education Challenge (WEC) at McCann Stadium on September 17th for the Night of Hope 5K and Family Fun Run. There will be a short fun run for small children, a 1 mile walk or run, and a 5K walk or run. The evening will end with luminaries “to light up the night” in recognition of those impacted by mental health and suicide.
WEC is hosting this event to promote community, education, and unity to raise awareness about mental health and to combat mental health stigmas.
Registration for the event will open in June and will be announced on our website as well as our social media outlets. Be sure to check out the WEC website for event details, updates, and information online at http://www.westervilleeducationchallenge.org
Since 2009, Westerville Education Challenge has impacted over 10,000 students in Westerville City Schools through the support of programs like Challenge Day, Middle School Transition Events, Middle School Culture Summits, mentoring clubs, teacher grants and its newest initiatives, Hope Squad, Parent Prep and Social-Emotional Resource Center (SERC).
