Job Description: The Web Developer will be responsible for building interactive web-based systems to support the initiatives of the University. In addition, he/she will provide training to faculty and staff to support their web-related activities; install and maintain software and databases; research new technologies; and perform routine content updates. The Web Developer will report to the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications and be an integral part of the Office of Marketing and Communications web team. |
| Pay Range: | Full-time/exempt/12-months |
| Skills Needed: | All candidates must submit 3 URLs of sites that they have been insturmental in developing. Include a description of your role in the development of each site. Technical skills: experience in Microsoft Internet Information Server environment, LAMP environment, audio/video streaming and compression; ecommerce, secure payment gateway and online transactions; earch engine optimization, cascading style sheets, javascript, photoshop and RSS. Math skills also a must. Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written English skills including grammar. |
| Educational Requirements: | Minimum of associates degree required (bachelor's degree strongly preferred) or equivalent work experience in computer science or related fields; and 3 years experience building web applications in a client/server environment. |
| Additional Information: | Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and mentoring skills, the ability to work well on a team and be self-motivated.
